Airmen

Over the six years of the Second World War a total of eight planes crashed on the Highclere Estate. Bad weather and poor visibility coupled with a challenging terrain near one of Hampshire’s largest hills (Siddown Hill) sadly led to many young men losing their lives. This page is in small part a tribute and memorial to those gallant heroes.

This memorial page is a work in progress so we ask that if you have any information or photographs of these brave men, you could add comments below or send the photos to us via [email protected]. Thank you.
